We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Purchasing & Expediting Officer to join our Infrastructure Delivery team in Perth, WA or Brisbane, QLD on a 12-Month Max-Term Contract.

Reporting to the Team Lead Purchasing & Expediting, you will play a key role in providing procurement, purchasing, expediting and logistics services to the Infrastructure Construction business unit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Procurement, purchasing, expediting and logistics procedures, systems, tools and processes for the Infrastructure Construction business unit nationally as appropriate
  • Procurement sourcing, negotiating and contracting, purchasing and expediting of direct categories for the Infrastructure Construction business unit
  • Contractual and supplier relationship management support of direct category preferred vendor management for the Infrastructure Construction business unit
  • Support of the Function and BU strategy
  • Support of the development and deployment of Procurement policy and procedures

Your background

  • Proven purchasing experience in a program/ multi-project environment, preferably in a similar industry
  • Solid knowledge of purchasing of direct services services and goods for major construction projects and /or engineering works
  • Sound levels of business and financial literacy and specialist user knowledge of finance systems (eg WorkDay or SAP)
  • Ability to achieve targeted outcomes
  • Ability to effectively communicate with others in a national multi-program/project environment
  • Effective external stakeholder management skills in a national multi-program/project environment
