We now have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced professional with a proven track record in strategy, performance and business management to work across the Sustainability & Corporate Affairs Business Manager, based in Sydney.

Reporting directly to the Group Executive of Sustainability & Corporate Affairs, this role will take a leadership role in developing and governing the SCA strategy and workplan. The role will also oversee Division wide planning and reporting, driving Division-wide integration and best practice to support the delivery of the APA strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage development, implementation and monthly reporting of the SCA strategy and workplan in collaboration with the Group Executive SCA

  • Develop SCA reporting cadence and regime that drives clear alignment between key metrics and underlying business activities/decisions and provides transparency within the team and to ELT/Board on SCA progress

  • Support coordination of ELT, SSC and Board reporting for SCA including oversight of the agenda, cadence and reporting requirements, support for report development and engagement with CoSec to deliver reporting suite

  • Interfacing with executives and SCA Leadership team to define project priorities and implementation opportunities and challenges, and keep them up-to-date with project risks and opportunities

  • Drive and support selected improvement projects including those identified in the SCA strategy, which improve the rigour and discipline of the function

  • Support the SCALT in the development and implementation of SCA business improvement initiatives to uplift team effectiveness, integration and planning

About You

  • Proven ability to develop and define functional workplans, project plans for navigating complex environments and delivering against business priorities

  • Strategic, enterprise-wide thinking

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a network of stakeholders and develop trusted relationships with senior stakeholders to drive outcomes, building productive relationships and extracting relevant information in a timely manner

  • Awareness and understanding in Sustainability and / or Corporate Affairs with high awareness of the role that reputation and brand plays in the delivery of the organisation's priorities

  • Previous experience in planning and reporting, including developing and managing reporting processes and managing large, multi-stakeholder workplans

  • Experience in corporate strategy development and delivery, including identification of KPIs and ability to derive insights from reporting to drive business improvement
