We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Team Lead - E&I Engineering to join our team in Melbourne or Brisbane on a on a full-time/permanent basis.

The position will lead the team to develop innovative and exiting ideas to help transition the business to meet its NetZero targets. The Team Lead will drive the design of low emission equipment including conversion of compressors and equipment at existing assets in Australia.

Your will be coordinating, managing and developing the Electrical and Instrumentation Engineers and deliver Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering for new projects and upgrades to existing APA assets including pipelines, compressor stations, gas processing plants, gas storage and associated energy infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitoring the performance of the Electrical and Instrumentation engineers to ensure the project and engineering objectives are achieved
  • Manage, coordinate and develop the discipline engineers, including career development, performance reviews, performance management, and administrative approval
  • Provide technical overview and be the focal point for technical guidance and expertise to the Discipline Engineers, Engineering Coordinators and Project Engineering Leads during delivery
  • Working with project teams assisting in the preparation and delivery of project deliverables. This includes preparation, checking and approval of FEED and detailed design documents and calculations for specific projects
  • Effectively balance resource requirements to maximise resource efficiency and productivity

Your background

  • Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering admitting to corporate membership of the Institution of Engineers Australia or equivalent experience (Mandatory)
  • RPEQ and RPEV certification (Mandatory) or other National or International registrations
  • Extensive experience in the design, construction, operation or maintenance of gas transmission, gas processing, or energy assets
  • Knowledge of relevant Australian codes and statutory requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in resource planning, schedule preparation and meeting deadlines in performing project work and technical reports
