We now have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager Project Finance to join Electricity Transmission team in Sydney or Melbourne on a permanent full-time basis.

Reporting directly to the General Manager Commercial, you will be responsible to deliver investment and funding strategies for large scale infrastructure bid development and associated projects including coordinating and supporting investment approvals for Electricity Transmission projects. This would include Identifying project structures, bid strategies and associated funding strategies to deliver large scale projects with values over $1bn dollars

Key Responsibilities

  • Investor Approvals - Manage the preparation and support presentation of investor approval documentation for large scale infrastructure bids, ensuring compliance with regulatory, APA standards and risk tolerances

  • Funding Sourcing - Provide guidance and direction to finance to support sourcing both debt and equity funding opportunities for projects valued above $1bn

  • Modelling Guidance - Provide input into the ET model (Corporate Finance) to ensure alignment with the decision-making processes and due diligence requirements

  • Bid Financing Strategy - Review and assess CAPEX, OPEX and funding trade-offs to optimise bid strategies for bid success and cost efficiency

  • Contract Negotiation & Closure - Support negotiations to secure favourable debt contract terms and oversee the closure process. Oversight and review concession and government contracts to support close and equity risk processes

  • Government customer contracts – Engagement with government on funding models and approaches to deliver large scale infrastructure contracts that align with customer requirements and debt and equity agreements

  • Market insights and competitor analysis – Provide insights to alternate funding and bid strategies under different government contract models and identify potential alternate structure approaches competitors may consider.

Your background

  • 10-15 years of experience in investment strategy, funding coordination, or financial management within the infrastructure sector

  • Proven track record in managing complex funding and investment processes in a dynamic team environment

  • Experience in commercial and financial governance

  • Experience in government contracts and associated funding structures
