Arrow Energy (“Arrow”) is an integrated coal seam gas (CSG) company, which develops gas fields, produces and sells CSG, and generates electricity. We have safely and sustainably developed CSG since 2000 and supplied it commercially since 2004 – for both industrial use and power generation in Queensland, and for power generation in the east coast gas market.

Our vision is to be the most competitive and respected developer of unconventional gas value chains in Australia. 

Today, Arrow owns and operates Braemar 2, a 450-megawatt gas-fired power station south-west of Dalby and is developing the Surat Gas Project in western Queensland. Sanctioned in 2020, the Surat Gas Project’s first phase comprises more than 600 coal seam gas wells and will bring 5 trillion cubic feet of gas to market over 27 years.

To meet our growing demands, we are looking for a Senior Project Engineer to join our team.

The Role: Reporting to the Project Lead Off Plot Engineering, the purpose of the role is to provide project management and project engineering capability to assist Arrow to achieve effective delivery of Project including all capital projects and Arrow's brownfield projects.

The role covers managing well and gathering packages from the the early conceptual stages with developments, land access & approvals teams and then onto internal engineering process to refine the packages before they are awarded to an EPC to design and construct.

This is a Brisbane based position and will require occasional travel to our field operations as required, with plenty of notice.

In addition, you will:

• Demonstrate a personal commitment to consistently role model Arrow’s values, code of conduct, safety, and the environment.
• Establish positive and productive working relationships with key stakeholders.
• Model inclusive behaviours to create a safe environment where different views and perspectives are encouraged and valued.
• Coordinate field personnel and contractors engaged in engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning through monitoring and controlling quality, cost, and schedule.
• Coordinate front-end planning, approvals and internal engineering, and commission/handover to Operations through approved Arrow processes and systems.
• Manage project risks by identifying and implementing mitigations to minimise project risk exposure to ALARP.
• Ensure project costs are controlled by developing budgets, schedules, and documentation in alignment with cost estimates.
• Ensure construction activities are executed to quality, cost, and schedule requirements through the development of construction work packs.

About You

You will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills along with the ability to contribute to a high performing-team with a second-to-none focus on safety and integrity.

To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:

• Graduate degree in relevant discipline with 5-10 yrs experience.
• Senior Project Engineering experience on well site infrastructure & gathering packages of work on Oil & Gas capital projects in Australia.
• Integrating at senior levels within the business and with external stakeholders including Government regulators.
• CSG Project Engineering/Management experience is desirable.
