This position will develop, deliver and support business processes through proactive engagement with key business stakeholders and the external market to ensure ASC continues to be the sovereign sustainer of choice for current and future submarine platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Interface with Procurement Managers consulting on priorities and available industry capabilities in order to achieve program strategic objectives
  • Review initial analysis and evaluation of Industry Capability Network (ICN) EOI responses providing AIC recommendations for consideration
  • Identify, introduce and assist in delivery of non-core AIC opportunities within the program
  • Contribute to development of a deep base of Australian industry capability intelligence, both in defence and adjacent industries, to enable the identification of gaps between ASC’s submarine program needs and Australian industry capabilities.
  • Contribute to development of a priorities roadmap for the development of industry capabilities in Australia.
  • Delivery and management of executable AIC Plans in accordance with contractual and Industry Policy requirements.
  • Analyse and evaluate AIC proposals identifying and pursuing options for increased AIC outcomes and contributing to the broader procurement evaluation process.
  • Collaborate with program leads in the identification and mitigation of risks related to Program AIC plans.
  • Lead identified AIC related improvement initiatives and participation in other continuous improvement activities as needed.

About You

  • Qualification in commerce, supply chain, contract management or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a senior Supply Chain role or relevant business experience
  • Experience or significant exposure to some of the following areas is desirable: Procurement, Contract Management, Supply Chain and or industrial capability development
  • Proven understanding of Australian capability landscape
  • Proven ability to develop contractual documents and artifacts
  • Proven strength in negotiation, communication, leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to resolve issues of a complex nature in consultation with delegated authorities
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in reporting and effective communication
  • Ability to show initiative, prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Willing to challenge “conventional” thinking

Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to a NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
