About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic team at ASC! This role is integral to our corporate digital transformation program, focusing on designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and scalable cloud infrastructure. Responsibilities:

  • Design and deploy scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure solutions.
  • Implement and maintain security measures to protect cloud infrastructure, ensuring compliance with defence industry standards.
  • Develop and implement automation scripts to streamline cloud operations and enhance efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, security, and operations, to ensure seamless integration of cloud solutions.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to team members and stakeholders.
  • Monitor and optimise cloud infrastructure performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.
  • Stay updated with the latest cloud technologies and best practices to drive continuous improvement.

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert qualifications.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cloud engineering or a related field.
  • Technical understanding of Microsoft Azure infrastructure
  • Proven experience in deploying and managing best practice Microsoft Azure environments
  • Proven experience with Microsoft Entra and M365
  • Proven experience with developing and deploying infrastructure and applications as code
  • Excellent analytical and technical problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Well Architected Framework and Azure Landing Zones
  • Experience with cloud migration and common cloud native application architectures and technical blueprints
  • Knowledge of cloud security concepts including posture management and security baselines for regulated organisations
  • The ability to write code in PowerShell
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with various stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to an NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
