Security Manager
Responsibilities
- Provide the required governance to ensure security is in strict compliance to the DSPF, PSPF, ISM, ASC CMS security documents and all additional contractual DISP membership requirements imposed on ASC by external government agencies.
- Provide guidance, leadership and management in all instances of security threats to the business from Trusted Insiders, Foreign Intelligence Services, Criminal elements, Maverick Individuals, Issue Motivated Groups
- Review, update and maintain all necessary security related CMS documents in consultation with key stakeholders to define and execute security procedures and processes.
- Strong understanding, communicating and enforcing strict adherence to ASIO technical notes facility build requirements
- Strong understanding and ability create complex Defence security risk assessments and the understanding and enforcement of the risk acceptance threshold levels for each control within the DSPF
- Provide expert advice and facilitate the sanitisation and destruction for all classified ICT systems and physical assets up to and including SECRET
About you
- Completed Defence Security Officers Course and Diploma in Security Risk Management.
- Desired: Tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in Physical, Personnel, Governance, or Cyber Security from a Defence Industry perspective.
- Desired: COMSO Course and TAE 40122 – Certificate IV in training and assessment (or equivalent).
- Proven background in a similar role with a minimum of 10 years’ experience.
- Excellent attention to detail, data entry accuracy, and communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of Defence Industry, focusing on Security Governance or Policy.
- Expertise to direct, manage, and develop security staff, procedures, and processes.
- Thorough knowledge of security requirements and their practical application to Defence.
Eligibility
This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance (Negative Vetting Level 2). Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
