An exciting opportunity exists to join our Federation Project team. Having secured a funding solution for the Project in May 2023, we’ve started mobilising to site. Federation is one of the highest-grade base metals development projects in Australia The Federation deposit hosts high-grade zinc, lead, and gold mineralisation and is located in 15 kilometres south of the central-west township of Nymagee. – this is a new mine site opening not to be missed!

The Role

Join our dedicated team as a Geological Field Technician, where you will play a crucial role in supporting exploration and operational geological activities while ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. Location

This full-time role is based at the Federation mine site. We are proud to offer a family-friendly and flexible Drive In Drive Out (DIDO) roster, with a balanced 7 days on, 7 days off schedule that supports your work-life harmony. For those who prefer to stay on-site during their roster, comfortable camp accommodation is provided, ensuring you have everything you need to feel at home while you're at work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interact with the Geology and Mining teams to ensure that daily work activities are fully planned and coordinated to ensure effective delivery
  • Complete all tasks associated with the diamond drill core and/or percussion and/or auger processing workflow;
  • Complete accurate data entry of geological information into the geological database;
  • When required complete all tasks associated with the daily sample dispatch services to the assay laboratory.
  • When required, surface stockpile sampling.
  • All other tasks as directed by your Supervisor.
  • Support environmental compliance and participate in surface exploration support activities.

About You

  • Hold an unrestricted C Class Driver’s License (manual).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan effectively.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, fostering teamwork and collaboration.
  • Experience in the mining industry and a current forklift license is desirable but not mandatory.
