The Role

We are seeking a Senior Contract Specialist to play a pivotal role in managing our service and materials contracts to support our mining operations within the Cobar Region. If you have a knack for negotiating, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for the mining industry, we want to hear from you!

You will report to the Supply and Contract Superintendent and provide back to back support on an 8 and 6 roster.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage service and materials contracts to achieve company objectives.
  • Provide legal and contractual support, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and operational goals.
  • Collaborate with legal, procurement, and operational managers to optimise contract outcomes.
  • Prepare and manage contract documentation, including scope of works and technical specifications.
  • Conduct commercial and legal negotiations with contractors.
  • Evaluate contractor performance and manage business relationships with key stakeholders.

About You

  • Wealth of experience in contracts/supply administration at a senior level.
  • Tertiary degree in a business discipline.
  • In-depth knowledge of contract laws and regulations.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work harmoniously with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and contract management software.
  • Familiarity with procurement processes and project management methodologies.
  • Previous experience in the mining industry is highly desirable
  • Current unencumbered ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence
