Our Peak Mine comprises several underground polymetallic (gold, lead, zinc, copper, and silver) and an 800 thousand tonnes per annum (ktpa) processing plant. The Mine is located in the northern Cobar Basin in western NSW, a short distance from the historical town of Cobar.

The Role

We are seeking Experienced Shotcrete Operators to join our Mining Team who has the ability and demonstrated experience to perform a variety of underground mining operational functions safely and productively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate Shotcrete rig as described in the relevant Safe Operating Standards
  • Identifying poor or deteriorating ground conditions and determine if the ground is suitable for spraying with shotcrete.
  • Spray fibrecrete to a desired thickness as outlined on the Survey Memo or Rehabilitation Plan
  • Conduct QAQC compliance tests on shotcrete sprayed
  • Operating Integrated Tool Carriers and Underground Agitator Trucks
  • Maintenance of equipment to desired standards at all times
  • Actively participate and contribute to Job Hazard analysis and mine safety procedures at all times
  • Any additional tasks as directed by your supervisor

About you

  • Demonstrated experience in safe and efficient application shotcrete/fibrecrete
  • The ability to manage effective use of resources including own time in support of the delivery of the Mine Plan
  • Motivated, reliable with strong work ethics
  • Current C Class Drivers’ License
  • Security Clearance (UHL) or the ability to achieve same
  • Working at Heights competency desirable
  • Strong commitment to safety and risk management
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • The ability to show Initiative, resilience and problem-solving capabilities
