The Role

We are seeking an experienced Charge-Up Operator to join out Mining Team at our Peak Mine Site. This role is offered on a 7/7 Rotating day/night roster.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide safe handling, transporting and storage of explosives
  • Assist with mark ups, ventilation, installation of mine services and other associated tasks
  • Ensure Peak Gold Mines policies and procedures are adhered to at all times
  • Operation of Loaders, Jumbos, IT’s and Charmec Machines
  • Ensure correct disposal, elimination of wastage of all explosive products
  • Inform Supervisor of any major safety concerns or issues in a prompt manner
  • Any additional tasks as requested by your Supervisor

About you

  • Current C Class Drivers’ Licence
  • Current Security Licence for unsupervised handling of explosives (UHL)
  • Working at Heights ticket
  • Blasting Users Explosives Licence (BUEL)
  • Previous underground mining experience
  • Strong commitment to safety and risk management
  • Excellent interpersonal and team skills
  • Initiative and problem-solving ability
