This role will see you plan and deliver stakeholder engagement activities, provide engagement advice and advocate for community and stakeholder outcomes.

With a Hybrid split Office / WFH, this role can be based in Melbourne CBD and is part of the Development & Future Networks team.

This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to:

• Develop, implement and evaluate communication and engagement plans in line with relevant communication and engagement strategies and AusNet’s stakeholder engagement framework
• Implement and deliver stakeholder and community engagement activities relating to infrastructure projects
• Engage with stakeholders, landowners and community members to mitigate impacts and risks to projects
• Coordinate stakeholder and community engagement consultants to support engagement program delivery
• Provide communication and engagement advice and support to project managers
• Identify and mitigate project communication and engagement risks
• Monitor and address communication and engagement issues
• Liaise with internal teams to support effective delivery of engagement programs and to ensure consistent messaging

You don’t need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of:

• Tertiary qualifications in communications or public relations
• IAP2 Certificate in Engagement or working towards
• Significant proven experience in communications and stakeholder engagement working on infrastructure projects
• Exceptional time management and planning skills
• Experience in active engagement with community members, community groups and government stakeholders
• Appreciation of statutory planning and approvals process of major infrastructure
• Strong relationship skills across a range of stakeholder types
