About the opportunity 

We are looking for a Senior Portfolio Analyst – Delivery Assurance to join our emerging Enterprise Project Management Office. This position is responsible for the facilitation and adherence of Program and Project Delivery Assurance across the Portfolio. We are seeking a proactive problem-solver who has strong analytical skills, while offering guidance and support to the project management community. Reporting directly into the Head Of Enterprise Delivery CoE, you will assist in monitoring and analysing project reporting against established metrics to proactively identify and recommend projects that may require a delivery assurance health assessment.

This objective of this role is to ensure delivery confidence through independent assurance and monitoring of project health, working under the direction of the Senior Manager Project Assurance. This involves collaborating with project teams, stakeholders, and senior management to safeguard quality standards across projects, adherence to established methodologies, and performance monitoring against established metrics and objectives. You will be a key stakeholder for project/program, resource across the enterprise for inquiries relating to the assurance function.


You’ll also 

  • Provide guidance for projects and programs to ensure alignment of project objectives with organisational goals and commercial strategies
  • Support conducting thorough assessments of project feasibility, risk, and viability to optimise resource allocation and mitigate potential commercial impacts on a discrete number of high-value post projects as identified by the Leadership Team
  • Assist in the development, documentation, and implementation of a robust project delivery assurance framework to maximise project delivery success
  • Maintain relevant trackers and tools to aid in conducting delivery assurance processes or activities
  • Provide training and guidance to project teams on project assurance processes, methodologies, tools, and best practices
  • Ensure the smooth running of the assurance function within the Post 26 Office through meeting administration and document management as necessary

About you 

We are seeking an individual with excellent influencing skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts and drive alignment around project strategies. You will be comfortable collaborating with Post26 Office leaders up to the Executive General Manager level. The key internal stakeholders include the Senior Manager of Delivery Assurance and the wider Post26O team. You will often need to be the translator between business stakeholders and their technical counterparts. Strong communication skills are vital as you will be educating project resources on how to adhere to quality delivery standards. The EPMO is a new function, it is vital to be able to operate in an ambiguous environment.

You’ll also need 

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and assess implications of project decisions and outcomes
  • Experience successfully providing PMO services or quality assurance to complex projects
  • Expert proficiency in project management methodologies, tools, and techniques
  • Knowledge of Lean, Agile, Scaled Agile Framework and traditional delivery methodologies
  • Proven exposure or ability providing support in the development/ implementation of project assurance frameworks & methodologies
  • Background facilitating cross-functional collaboration and alignment to ensure project activities support overall commercial objectives
