About the role

The Senior Communications Adviser is a vital role in the Communications team, one that has direct impact between Barwon Water, our customers and the community. You will be responsible for managing our key media relationships, forming a link between our brand and community related activities.

Responsible for creating interesting content across our channels, generating media releases and preparing internal corporate communications including Board reports and documents, you will engage with key stakeholders across the business.

A skilled communications professional, you will provide operational support for the Communications Lead and seek opportunities to collaborate within the team.

About you

You will be an experienced Communications professional, skilled in managing media outlets. You’ll enjoy working in a fast paced, deadline orientated role, where your strong planning skills with shine.

As an emerging leader, you will be empowered to be autonomous and challenge yourself in a supportive and high performing team. Your creativity and innovative mind will bring value to the team.

With a proven background in the sector, your skills may be supported by qualifications in communications or similar, and you thrive in an impactful communications role the directly benefits our community.
