About the role

The Strategic Community Engagement Team Leader will play a leading role in the planning and implementation of community engagement strategies for Barwon Water’s priority projects. This includes building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, facilitation of community and stakeholder forums, issues management, and content development.

Leading a multidisciplinary and diverse working team, you will work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate across Barwon Water.

You will provide leadership to your team, peers and internal stakeholders through the provision of specialist community engagement advice and contribute to fostering a best-practice approach to community and stakeholder engagement with Barwon Water.

With a sound risk radar and experience in issues management, you will be capable to work autonomously and providing end to end delivery of community engagement activities for major projects.

Your experience in community engagement leadership will be underpinned by your qualifications in community engagement and communications. You will be organised and with a genuine passion to generate customer friendly information and adapt it for different platforms.
