Formula for Success

As Senior Sales Engineer, you’ll play an important role managing the end to end technical sales process for utility scale energy storage systems in Australia and New Zealand. This includes the development of the sales pipeline for battery energy storage systems (BESS) in the region, managing from first contact to delivery and handover of the projects.

You’ll:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor agreed sales strategies (including pricing implementation) and provide clear strategic direction to the sales organisation.
  • Support the establishment of long-term relationships with key-accounts and market influencers to understand customer’s true needs and strategic interests.
  • Develop market intelligence to pursue market growth and deepen market penetration, e.g. attracting new customers, applications, and innovations.
  • Manage relations with EPCs, equipment suppliers and other associates through all sales stages until effectiveness of the contract.
  • Analyse client needs to develop tailored solutions and assist with quotations and feasibility.
  • Work with peers in other regions to share best practices, learnings, solve problems, and devise new initiatives and improvements.

Ingredients for Success

To be successful in this role, you’ll have strong background in technical and/or marketing & sales, especially in engineering and construction management in the power generation market. Additionally, familiarity with working alongside utilities, project developers, and EPCs in the energy industry is highly valuable. You’ll be a natural communicator, able to engage and influence stakeholders of various levels, providing meaningful insights and recommendations.

You’ll:

  • Hold a degree in engineering or similar technical discipline. Electrical engineering background is highly preferred.
  • Strong technology expertise in renewable energy.
  • Ability to communicate complicated technical topics across functions and regions.
  • Be able to clearly present suggestions and ideas to internal and external parties.
