Facilities Supervisor
The Facilities Supervisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of our facilities. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team and contribute to the success of our organization. This role exists to oversee and manage the Facilities Management System, ensuring the timely completion of work orders, compliance with contract requirements, and adherence to safety policies and procedures.
It is an onsite role and will require travelling to different sites. Work hours are from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm or 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
Using a flexible and adaptable approach the responsibilities of the Facilities Supervisor include:
- Manage and maintain the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to capture all Preventative and Reactive work orders.
- Delegate and allocate work orders to meet contract requirements and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Act as the first point of contact for the Building Management Systems (BMS) office, liaising with internal and external stakeholders related to the contract.
- Ensure full compliance and consistency with the contract and BGIS business systems.
- Oversee Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental (OHS&E) policies and procedures compliance among all stakeholders.
- Foster teamwork, uphold performance standards, and actively participate in team activities.
- Operate according to BGIS' Values, maintain relationships, and promote team development.
- Provide 24/7 emergency call-out service and manage soft copy information on SharePoint.
Qualifications and Experience
- Strong demonstrated experience or exposure to building/facilities management environments.
- Strong demonstrated experience in a property or corporate real estate environment or at a senior level in a similarly complex industry.
- Proven ability in working within an integrated services and property model delivering Property Management, Facilities Management, Project Management, and Financial Management Services.
- Strong business acumen with demonstrated business planning and high-level financial knowledge and skills.
- Proven capability of working within an environment using QA, OH&S and environmental systems.
- Able to respond quickly to change and adopt a flexible/ innovative approach to problems and opportunities.
- Proficient in desktop applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Demonstrated high-quality written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of building services and general building maintenance.
- Exposure or demonstrated experience in scoping, tendering, and documenting subcontracts.
- Exposure or demonstrated experience in managing/supervising delivery of subcontracts.
- Demonstrated experience in multi-tasking of various duties.
- High School Certificate or equivalent.
- Training in current OH&S, QA and ideally environmental legislations and systems.
- It is desirable to have Electrical or Relevant trade qualification – TAFE or equivalent.
