About the Role

We are currently seeking a Condition Monitoring Technician to join our team at Newman Operations. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering the execution and continuous improvement of the Condition Monitoring program using a variety of predictive maintenance technologies such as; vibration analysis, oil analysis, thermography, and ultrasonic testing. The role will also require some relevant Condition Monitoring fitting work, including installing and maintaining remote accelerometer systems.

With this role you have the choice of either being fly-in fly-out from Perth to Newman, or residentially based in Newman on an 8 days-on 6 days-off roster.

You’ll be working across Mt Whaleback and Eastern Ridge mine sites, which is made up of several deposits and contributes to the overall ore production of Newman Operations. The 7,000 strong population of Newman enjoys well-established town facilities including a newly revitalised town centre and sporting facilities. As a gateway to the Karijini national park, you will be in close proximity to spectacular gorges, water courses and stunningly unique landscapes.

About You

We’re looking for an individual who is passionate about continuous improvement of systems/processes and equipment health, coupled with strong time management and prioritization skills.

To be considered for the role you’ll need:

  • A mechanical or electrical trade or engineering qualification
  • A minimum, C class manual driver’s licence
  • Demonstrated experience with fixed plant rotating equipment
  • Cat 2 vibration analysis qualification
  • Experience with CSi/ Emerson/ Dynamox vibration analysis hardware/ software
  • Experience installing and maintaining remote accelerometers
  • An overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility, and sustainability.
