About the Role

The role can be based in Brisbane, or Perth.

As a Principal Category Management, you will join a team that manages global indirect services categories such as Professional Labour, Consulting, Legal, Property & Workplace and People Services.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead end-to-end category management activities across multiple indirect services categories.
  • Provide technical expertise in planning, development and implementation of systems, tools, analytics and reporting to facilitate the delivery of best practice procurement outcomes.
  • Partner with Assets and Functions globally to lead strategic sourcing activities and support robust contract management.
  • Influence internal stakeholders and external partners to achieve strategic, social value and decarbonization priorities within their portfolio and the broader Enterprise wide categories.
  • Be responsible for understanding the hygiene of portfolio and assist Category Leads in allocating resources to manage portfolio effectively and manage performance to plans (e.g. Supply management, contract management, governance, value delivery, pipeline build)
  • Keeping abreast of key external trends both functionally and Supply market perspective, new innovation and newly emerging risks

About You

  • Strong ability to manage complex global categories and extensive experience with globally managed indirect services categories like Consulting, Legal, Property & Workplace.
  • Experience in leading strategic end to end sourcing, developing and implementing effective category strategies.
  • Demonstrate abilities in leading complex negotiations to drive effective procurement outcomes.
  • Strong knowledge of the application of procurement processes, systems, tools and data analytics
  • Outstanding stakeholders engagement skills ideally within geographically dispersed environment
  • Ability to synthesize and present complex information in a strategic manner.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments, entrepreneurial mindset & ability to lead change
