About the role:
A rewarding opportunity to join Box Hill Institute as one of our Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP) Teachers delivering English language programs to AMEP students!
This role provides innovative training delivery and assessment within the EAL curriculum to learners within the AMEP and/or SEE programs. You will provide high quality and engaging training to in English and settlement topics and monitor, evaluate and assess student success in English Language progression.
Within this role you will be writing lesson plans and select course materials that are most appropriate to your students’ needs. You will have the opportunity to participate in curriculum design and development and provide pathway guidance to improve student employment and education outcomes.
This opportunity is casual based at our Box Hill Campus.
About You:
- Degree qualification or similar in Adult Education (mandatory)
- Postgraduate TESOL qualification (mandatory)
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (mandatory)
- Working with Children Check (WWCC) and National Police Check (mandatory)
- Knowledge of ASCF and EAL frameworks
- Strong digital literally skills
- Ability to design and deliver engaging course materials and lessons
- Experience in effectively managing difficult and sensitive topics and questions
- Demonstrated experience working with people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
- Ability to use learning management systems to create and deliver engaging course materials and use of student management systems for attendance tracking and results
