A newly created opportunity has opened as HR Business Partner to join our welcoming team, to support BAC through an exciting period of growth for our Airport City!

As HR Business Partner, you will play a crucial role in supporting the business objectives of our Aviation and Infrastructure divisions as we go through a transformative period in BNE history. This is a unique opportunity to partner with line managers across these divisions, providing expert HR advice and delivering a full range of HR services and activities to ultimately continue enhancing our employee culture and leadership for the organisation.

Reporting to the Head of Human Resources, this is a permanent full-time role based at our Sky Gate Head Office.

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include

  • Develop and maintain highly effective stakeholder relationships and establish a reputation for being a trusted business partner, understanding each Group’s business objectives and strategy.
  • Provide high level support and advice to managers ensuring the effective implementation and management of Human Resources policies, practices, and procedures that provide an optimal working environment and promote a culture of excellence and performance.
  • Conducts ongoing analysis for business partners on current and future state staffing and skill needs and designs talent acquisition strategies to meet those needs. Actively participates in annual budget planning forecasting process with business partners.
  • Develop and champion organisational culture and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management including coaching, counselling, career development, and disciplinary actions
  • Work closely with management and employees to develop and implement initiatives that will enhance working relationships within the business unit, build morale, increase productivity, and manage retention.
  • Develop and implement successful organisational structural changes.

Experience and qualifications

Essential

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline.
  • Experience in a Senior HR Advisor role in a medium-sized company.
  • Sound understanding of legislation and standards applicable to employment conditions.

Preferred

  • Prior experience in an infrastructure business
  • Prior training and experience undertaking workplace investigations
  • Prior experience working with remuneration methodologies (Korn Ferry Hay Group preferred).
  • Prior experience undertaking Enterprise Agreement negotiations.
