Clough has multiple opportunities for HSSE Advisors to join our team on the Waitsia project on a 14 days on / 7 days off roster. Reporting to the HSSE Manager, the HSSE Advisor will be responsible for providing onsite support, knowledge and active mentoring to the team in all of Health, Safety, Security and Environment matters across the project. We are searching for a HSSE professional with demonstrated pre-commissioning and commissioning experience to ensure safety aspect are executed as per project requirements.

This role will be bus-in/bus-out from Perth Airport or DIDO from the Dongara/Geraldton region.

THE PROJECT

The Waitsia Gas Project is ranked one of the largest gas fields ever discovered onshore in Australia and Stage 2 involves further development of the gas field with new wells and a new production facility. Clough is currently undertaking the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) scope of the development, near Dongara, Western Australia.

Your focus will include:

  • Delivering a project in accordance with the Project’s Target Zero objectives of zero harm to people, community and environment

  • Advocating compliance with the project HSSE Management System and drive site wide implementation of all activities relating to the Project Target Zero objectives.

  • Supporting HSSE Manager in the development, implementation, monitoring and revision of the HSSE Management Systems

  • Planning and execution of safety commissioning activities are identified, managed and delivered for the project.

  • Coordinating and conducting workplace audits, inspections and risk assessments

What you will bring to the team:

  • Previous experience in Project Engineering, Construction, and Commissioning in construction / engineering environments.

  • Tertiary qualifications in Health and Safety.

  • Knowledge of HSE and statutory requirements, including safety case risk assessment and mitigation processes

  • Ability to plan, organise and prioritise work, balancing resources, skills, priorities and timescales to achieve objectives.

  • Industry White Card.

  • Intermediate proficiency with the MS suite of software and prior experience utilising HSSE reporting systems such as INX (InControl and Intuition).

  • A proactive approach to managing HSSE.
