THE OPPORTUNITY


Are you ready to take charge of resilience at a leading company? CS Energy is seeking a Senior Resilience Adviser to spearhead our business resilience program. As a Senior Resilience Adviser at CS Energy, you will be the architect of our resilience strategy, reporting directly to the Senior Manager Risk and Resilience. Your mission is to craft, deploy, and refine a robust business resilience program, encompassing emergency management, business continuity, and crisis management.

You will be the driving force behind our adherence to the highest industry standards, ensuring that CS Energy stands prepared for any major disruptions. By interfacing with key business functions, you will not only prepare us for emergencies but also embed the wisdom from lessons learned into our business practices. Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Promoting a culture and understanding of risk management and business resilience.
  • Collaborating with leaders for business resilience planning.
  • Ensuring alignment of resilience framework and program with risk, compliance, assurance programs and activities.
  • Developing policies and refining approach considering legislative and internal requirements, external threats and operational needs.
  • Developing Business Impact Assessment and Business Continuity Plans across the business.
  • Implementing improvements to incident response or Business Continuity Plans.
  • Guiding and where required, leading response to incidents and crises.
  • Facilitating post incident debriefs as required.
  • Communicating potential threats or risks.
  • Coordinating training and exercising schedule and ensuring consistency with the SOCI Risk Management Plan.
  • Engaging with peers and staying updated on trends.
  • Maintaining the relevant intranet page and supporting resources.
  • Developing, maintaining and influencing relationships with key internal and external stakeholders including support providers.

To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications in accounting, business, risk, resilience or related discipline.
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills including the ability to engage with peers and at a senior manager level to influence outcomes across CS Energy.
  • Understanding of the electricity, energy generation, trading, digital and technology industries would be highly regarded.
  • Strong risk management or resilience experience whether in a specialist role or other discipline incorporating (10+ years) including:
    • Development and management of an enterprise risk management framework or crisis management / resilience framework.
    • Operating an enterprise risk management framework or crisis management / resilience framework and exercising.
    • Operating a system for managing risk and/or compliance obligations, tracking and reporting.
    • Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and influencing others to achieve outcomes is a key component of this role.
