In this dynamic role, you'll provide vital financial evaluation, modelling, and governance support across a diverse investment portfolio, including renewable energy projects, thermal assets, and corporate technology investments.

Duties include the below, but are not limited to:
- Lead Investment Governance: Implement CS Energy’s Investment Analysis Framework driving strategic decision-making across our investment portfolio.
- Investment Analysis: Deliver critical financial analysis and review business cases for new investments, offering deep insights through dashboards, valuation models, and post-investment reviews.
- Portfolio Modelling: Maintain the Corporate Model and assumptions book for financial forecasting, asset valuation, debt scenarios, and rehabilitation assessments, ensuring a clear vision of CS Energy’s financial future.
- Strategic Partnerships: Collaborate with the Finance, Treasury, and Trading teams to seamlessly integrate new Future Energy assets into CS Energy’s portfolio

To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience:
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or related business discipline.
- CA/CPA qualifications or relevant recognised financial post graduate qualification.
- Advisory, consulting or similar experience demonstrating ability to solve problems, deal with ambiguity and interact with internal and external stakeholders autonomously (Big 4 firm experience advantageous).
- Experience in a similar role focusing on Investment Governance and Valuations.
- Proven ability to provide inputs to Board papers and prepare position papers.
- Demonstrated superior analytical and conceptual skills.
- Proven experience in handling multiple responsibilities and meeting strict deadlines.
- Professional presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Motivated self-starter with flexible and collaborative work style.
- Strong understanding of financial and management reporting
- Experience in data analysis including SQL data extraction preferred
- Advanced MS Excel and Powerpoint
- Problem solving and ability to balance multiple tasks based on prioritisation skills.
- Establishing clear scenario analysis assumptions and analysis aligned to business strategy and funding options
- Knowledge of electricity market modelling and the electricity sector transition
