THE OPPORTUNITY

As a Senior Community Engagement Advisor, you will lead our community and stakeholder engagement efforts for renewable energy projects in central QLD, specifically Lotus Creek and Boulder Creek wind farms. You will develop and implement effective communication strategies that build and maintain positive relationships with local communities and stakeholders. The Senior Community Engagement Advisor will be a proactive member of the community, engaging early and often with relevant stakeholders and consistently sharing information that is timely and accurate.


This is a 2 year fixed term position which will see you working remotely (home) with regular travel to Lotus Creek Wind Farm (west of St Lawrence) and Boulder Creek Wind Farm (west of Rockhampton). The ideal location would be Rockhampton or surrounds based on the location of our windfarms.


Key responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic advice to project leadership on community matters.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including landowners, community members, and local governments.
  • Manage Community Benefit Funds, including administration, promotion, and event organisation.
  • Prepare and deliver communication materials such as newsletters, fact sheets, and website content.

ABOUT YOU

  • Degree qualified in community engagement, communication, public relations, or a relevant discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in community and/or stakeholder engagement.
  • Exceptional writing skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Strong understanding of community engagement principles and practices.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong community connections and understanding of the Central Queensland region are advantageous.
