THE OPPORTUNITY
This position will operate, monitor and control the boiler, turbine generator and station auxiliary and ancillary plant safely and economically within defined operating parameters, optimising online availability to meet Callide’s production requirements.
This is a permanent, full time role, working a shift roster.
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, you will
- Certificate of Competency, for prescribed occupation in Boiler Operation, Advanced;
- Certificate of Competency for prescribed occupation in Turbine Operation
- Senior First Aid Certificate (Desired)
- Mechanical or Electrical aptitude
- Permit to Work Officer (PTWO) certification desired
- LV Rescue desired
- Confined Space & Working at Heights
- Electrical Safety
- Microsoft Office Proficient: Word, Excel Outlook
- SAP proficient desirable
- ability to and willingness to work a continuous 12 hour Shift Work roster
- Required to work in hazardous environments
- Power Station experience is advantageous
