Head of Execution Systems - APAC
Your Role
The Head of Execution Systems - APAC is responsible for overseeing the Manufacturing Operational Technology (OT) applications, systems, and software used to support the production of commercial materials. This includes direct oversight of the Manufacturing systems including but not limited to Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), and Distributed or Process Control Systems (DCS/PCS).
You will also provide strategic direction to the APAC teams responsible for the design/development, implementation, and operational support of manufacturing execution philosophy and associated standards for batch processing activities.
Your Responsibilities
Reporting to the Global Execution Systems Head you will:
- Lead/provide the strategy for implementation, improvement, qualification, lifecycle and sustainability of APAC region Manufacturing Execution Systems
- Be responsible for leading a regional group accountable for the development, implementation (Opex & Capex) and operational support of manufacturing execution philosophy and associated standards and computerized systems for all batch processing activities
- Manage teams responsible for manufacturing platforms and applications including but not limited to Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
- Develop, implement, maintain and govern S95/S88 standards, libraries, interfaces and associated systems for activities associated with batch production, testing and release at both internal and external sites including master process data, recipe libraries, recipe management, process control and data historian
- Ensure real time data access and analysis that is rapidly deployable, scalable to ensure compliance of products with regulatory filings
- Develop and implement a comprehensive overall design for electronic batch records and automated batch record review by exception, suitable for implementation at multiple global sites
- Deliver/Start-Up new manufacturing capacity via approved CAPEX projects in compliance w/CSL guidelines
- Provide matrix leadership for local ExS teams including Lab Execution Systems, Computer Systems Validation, Data Systems, Platform Ownership and others supporting GxP manufacturing platforms
Your Experience
- Bachelor of Science in an Engineering or other Science discipline, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems
- 15 years+ work experience, with at least 5 years’ experience in execution systems
- Specific experience in Operational Technology including process automation, MES and batch manufacturing industry standards (ISA S88 &S95)
- Awareness and Experience in manufacturing systems I&T Infrastructure requirements
- Direct experience designing, building, deploying and supporting automation and execution systems (SCADA, MES, PAT, OSI Pi Data historian, etc.) in a regulated large-scale process-based manufacturing environment
- Experience in running site-based shop floor systems in a globally distributed footprint is highly desirable
- Experience building, managing, and deploying high performing, innovative and transformational process automation /execution systems across a global organization
- Demonstrated ability to influence at all organizational levels through clear, concise and impactful verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to build, mentor and grow a high performing and cohesive team
