ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced Compliance Manager (Privacy) to join our dynamic Enterprise Risk team on a 12 month fixed-term contract and be responsible for leading and managing privacy compliance initiatives across the organization. The primary focus of this role is to act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) within a privacy uplift project, ensuring the company adheres to applicable privacy laws, regulations, and standards. The Compliance Manager (Privacy) will play a crucial role in driving the privacy program, providing expert advice, and supporting the organisation’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its privacy framework.

Duties will include (but not limited to) -

  • Acting as the primary privacy SME within the privacy uplift project, providing authoritative advice and guidance on privacy-related matters
  • Leading privacy risk assessments and impact assessments (PIAs/DPIAs) across various projects, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations coupled with the develop and implementation privacy-related policies, procedures, and controls as part of the privacy uplift project
  • Developing and delivering privacy training and awareness programs to educate employees on privacy obligations and best practices and provide ongoing support to the organization
  • Reviewing, updating, and maintaining the organisation’s privacy policies and procedures in line with evolving legal requirements and industry standards and ensure these policies are communicated across the organisation
  • Leading the investigation and resolution of privacy-related incidents, including data breaches, ensuring timely reporting and remediation
  • Setting up assessment frameworks and conduct regular privacy audits and assessments to identify compliance gaps and areas for improvement

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in securing a role with our crew it’s likely you’ll come with experience in the following areas:

  • Proven experience in enhancing an organization's privacy posture, ensuring robust data protection and compliance with privacy regulations.
  • A strong understanding of project frameworks and methodologies, with the ability to develop and implement a structured, phased approach to project execution.
  • Being driven and self-motivated, with a natural curiosity and a hands-on approach to your work.
  • Have competent policy and process drafting skills along with effective decision-making and negotiation skills
  • Sound verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in various MS Office software applications, including Word, PowerPoint with advanced Excel skills.
