This is a pool recruitment process to fill permanent, fixed term full time and part-time vacancies across three separate branches within Energy Policy WA for twelve (12) months from finalisation of the recruitment process.

About the Opportunities
This is an exciting opportunity for you to participate in the development and evaluation of significant energy related policies and the development of evidence-based advice to the Coordinator of Energy and government.
The following opportunities are available for filling through this Pool process.
The Policy Analyst – Level 4
This role conducts research and analysis to facilitate the development and implementation of projects aimed at enhancing energy performance. The position researches and analyses data and information relevant to the development of policy and market rules, and provides advice, briefing notes, correspondence, and other information as required.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong ability to analyse data in line with legislative requirements, policies, and guidelines, with experience in the energy industry considered beneficial.
Policy Analyst – Level 5
This role provides substantial assistance to the development and evaluation of significant energy-related policies and the development of evidence-based advice to the Deputy Director General – Coordinator of Energy and government.
The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong analytical capabilities, effective communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, the candidate should possess a track record in policy research, development, and evaluation, as well as demonstrated expertise in consultation and negotiation.
Senior Policy Analyst – Level 6
This role contributes substantially to the analysis of significant energy policy issues and development of evidence-based advice to government. This role also leads and undertakes small to large-scale projects, including the development and implementation of market and regulatory reforms.
The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership abilities, a proven track record in policy research and project management, and exemplary written communication skills for delivering impactful advice to government entities. This role demands proactive engagement with cross-functional teams and a commitment to shaping insightful policy outcomes within the energy sector.
These roles are located in Perth CBD, at 66 St Georges Terrace.
