SCADA Solutions Lead (1 year fixed term contract)

Please note that this is a one-year fixed term contract as an EDL employee. This is a hybrid position with 3 days/week in the Brisbane office and the option to work from home 2 days/week.
Being an SME of Ignition SCADA, you are the owner and maintainer of the Ignition SCADA platform application hosted in Azure and deployed in the edge. Responsible for the configuration and development of the Ignition SCADA platform to EDL's SCADA Standards, you oversee the master template as well as the inherited site specific projects.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Subject Matter Expert for EDL on Ignition SCADA platform
- Controls Master "Include" project where SCADA standards are kept
- SCADA standards (Alarms/Tags/ Trends/ symbols) development and ownership
- Owner of data interface from remote sites to the Central SCADA
- Initial development of pilot projects (POC)
- Later implementation phase, oversee systems integrators (SI) work
- Prepares data for each remote site's upgrade program (review & doc of existing) for quoting from SI
- Develop policies for updates and patching to Ignition SCADA platform (On Prem and in Cloud) with EAM.
- System diagnostics & continual improvement - develop to feed logs into SIEM
Person specification:
- Proficient in managing potential performance and security implications of decisions related to Ignition Central SCADA modifications and use of risk management practices to control risks to ALARP.
- Have the ability to: - Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple teams while building positive work relationships.
- Apply pragmatism in the assessment of risk; and
- Work in a dynamic, changeable environment, including management of conflicting priorities in high pressure situations
- Ability to confidently present to both technical and business audiences
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5 Years Experience in the field of deploying Ignition SCADA platform, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in a critical infrastructure setting.
- Proven experience in securely deploying Ignition SCADA in networked Ubuntu Linux based Azure servers coupled with PostgreSQL database environment.
- Development and deployment of Ignition in a central SCADA environment. Preferably in power generation industry.
- Certifications: - Ignition Gold Certified is a requirement
