About this opportunity:
We are now looking for Expression of Interest (EoI) from highly experienced Network Performance & Optimisation Engineer for upcoming opportunity. S/he will be responsible for improving 4G/5G performance, KPI metrics and end-user experience. In this role, you will also be accountable for providing profitable business for Ericsson by translating customer needs, and technology opportunities into detailed technical offering, solutions and proposals.
What you will do:
- Reporting to the Performance Lead or Performance Manager
- Troubleshoot complex 4G/ 5G (SA/NSA) RAN issues
- Perform end to end root cause analysis and identify RAN elements causing 4G and 5G degradation
- Propose recommendation of 4G/5G improvements to improve end-user experience and service KPIs
- Conduct benchmarking activities and support any new on-field testing (where required)
- Resolve customer 4G/5G technical queries
- Perform drive test and L3 analysis of log files
- Drive efficiencies, automation and cost savings in network performance and optimization processes
- Participate in knowledge transfer, documentation and information sharing
- Supporting Performance Manager or Lead on driving network enhancement programs and strategies
The skills you bring:
- Minimum years of experience: 7 years in Telecommunications
- Excellent understanding and experience RF tuning and optimization in 4G/5G (SA/NSA) networks.
- Worked in large scale network optimization projects and driven e2e improvement.
- Strong understanding and hands-on experience of Ericsson KPI and feature mapping
- Understanding of different features and baseline parameters for performance improvements
- Extensive experience troubleshooting on complex 4G/5G technical issues
- Solid experience with drive test tools such as X-CAL/CAP, TEMS-I/D, QXDM, Nemo
- Deep understanding on L3 messaging, root cause analysis and cell trace
- Experience in network wide worse cell hunting and improvements
- VoLTE or VoNR Optimization experience
- Experience with benchmarking activities and Ookalah, Youtube speed test optimization
- Experience network performance using analysis tools
- Strong 3GPP knowledge
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills to resolve issues with build and integration team
- Ericsson experience highly regarded
- Programming and Scripting skills advantageous
