Gold Fields' mining assets in the Australia region include a 100% interest in the St Ives, Agnew and Granny Smith mines and a 50:50 interest in the Gruyere JV project with Gold Road Resources.

Gold Fields is recruiting for a dynamic and energetic Senior Advisor People to join the Granny Smith team.

Role Details:

Reporting to the Manager People, you will be responsible for providing functional Human Resources support across the Granny Smith site to assist in maintaining a motivated workforce that is committed to the success and values of Gold Fields Australia.

This role is offered on a 12 month max term contract working a 8 days on 6 days off roster Fly in Fly out from Perth or Drive in Drive out from the Goldfields region.

About the role:

  • Implement key HR projects and strategies, ensuring clear communication and support is provided. Contribute to design and implementation of employee engagement activities including but not limited to onboarding, development planning, diversity & inclusion, and wellness programmes.

  • Provide advice, support and coaching to leaders in the areas of employee relations, policies, procedures, and performance management, ensuring tools and resources provided are consistently applied.

  • Undertake comprehensive investigations into workplace incidents, in a fair, timely and responsible manner, implementing corrective actions from any learning.

  • Assist in the development, review, implementation and monitoring of all Human Resources procedures and systems to create consistency within the People Operations function and monitor adherence and compliance to legislation.

  • Foster a positive climate for an engaged, diverse, and inclusive workforce to drive a performance-based culture.

  • Facilitate the development and implementation of diversity and retention strategies.

  • Consistently demonstrate and reflect behaviours, actions, and attitudes in line with Gold Field’s Vision, Values and Code of Ethics.

About you:

  • A Tertiary degree qualification in Human Resources or related discipline

  • Demonstrated Human Resources experience, within the resources sector and a fly in fly out environment is desirable

  • Exposure to employment legislation, investigations, and performance case management

  • Ability to work autonomously while building collaborative relationships and utilising influencing skills in a fast paced environment

  • Create and collaborate effective and respectful working relationships with leaders and employees at all levels of the business

  • Valid Driver’s Licence
