Your Opportunity

Following a recent strategy and operating model review, our focus is on building the structure, skills and capabilities required for the next chapter of the IGO story.  We are now seeking a highly experienced Geoscientist with a breadth of skills to join us in the role of Program Manager where you will safely manage multiple exploration activities across various domestic and international jurisdictions.

This newly created role is suited to an experienced leader with a drive to incorporate ongoing efficiencies and standardisation alongside the agility to tackle business and performance improvement initiatives.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Program management to drive efficiencies and ensure resourcing is sufficient to maintain safe programs in the field;
  • Develop the Exploration Execution team, enhance skills and expertise across IGO’s commodities of interest and drive strategic deliverables;
  • Actively manage stakeholder relationships to maintain access to ground and build benefits across our Traditional Owner and Community groups;
  • Engage with geoscience subject matters experts to leverage expertise required to build robust models that support investment cases for future and current exploration projects;
  • Ensuring safety management plans are adhered to and quality risk management is undertaken;
  • Ensure systems are in place to track performance from contractors and in-house teams; and
  • Budgetary, contract, supply chain and procurement management as well as logistics and asset management across exploration programs.

About You

Along with an influential communication style and high degree of commercial acumen, you must be a team player and bring the following skills:

  • Experience managing mineral exploration executable programs across multiple jurisdictions;
  • Demonstrated performance in Health, Safety and Environment with a focus on innovation and improvement;
  • An influential leadership style and the ability to foster performance improvement;
  • Agile, scrum and sprint management (desirable)
  • Significant experience with supply chain, procurement, contract management and logistics;
  • Tertiary qualifications in Geoscience;
  • Valid ‘C’ class manual drivers’ licence; and
  • National Police Clearance obtained within the last two months.
