Your Opportunity
Following a recent strategy and operating model review, our focus is on building the structure, skills and capabilities required for the next chapter of the IGO story. Our Exploration team is seeking a Portfolio and Commercial Manager responsible for delivering value to IGO through sound ranking and pipeline optimisation. Within this role you will consistently look to improve ranking schema and tools to enable discovery and deliver best-in-class projects to meet IGO’s strategic goals.
Reporting to the General Manager, Exploration some key accountabilities include:
- Develop the Portfolio and Management team, enhance skills and expertise across IGO’s commodities of interest and drive strategic deliverables;
- Foster and develop strong relationships with key stakeholders and future partners;
- Ensure budget is managed within approved limits and conforms with organisational budget DOA’s;
- Develop platforms through GIS and other systems to visualise the portfolio as well as communicate the progress of projects both for organic and inorganic activity;
- Constantly strive to create value for our Stakeholders through sustainable practices (HSEC and ESG);
- Combine technical expertise with commercial rigour to prioritise targets towards those with the highest probability of success;
- Shape our exploration portfolio by understanding what discovery success looks like end-to-end through assessment of expected monetary value assessment analysis and ensuring capital management rigour; and
- Constantly strive to strengthen our commercial assessment process with best-in-class portfolio analysis and management tools.
About You
Along with an influential communication style and high degree of commercial acumen, you must be a team player and bring the following skills:
- Tertiary qualifications or equivalent background knowledge in Geology / Geoscience with substantial experience in a similar role within an ASX listed company;
- High level financial and commercial acumen, with specific experience in mineral project development;
- Global understanding of portfolio opportunities and value assessments across critical minerals (Ni, Li, Cu);
- Knowledge of range of uncertainty modelling for resource range analysis assessments
- Understanding of AOI and prospectivity mapping approaches to ranking and identify world class opportunities;
- Understanding of mine economic modelling for sensitivity analysis and development of project NPV’s;
- Ability to assess chance of success and evaluate probabilities for mineral systems;
- Creativity and lateral thinking approach to delivery of projects and the ability to embrace strict project gating criteria;
- Valid ‘C’ class manual drivers’ licence; and
- National Police Clearance obtained within the last two months.
