The Opportunity

As the Safety Advisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest safety standards on the project construction site. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside a dedicated project team, where you will actively promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all relevant safety legislation, policies, and procedures. Your expertise will help identify hazards, implement effective controls, and monitor safety performance, making a direct impact on creating a safe and productive work environment.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Monitor daily operations to ensure WHS compliance and safety policy adherence
  • Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments, and ensure risk controls are in place
  • Provide SSQ advice, support training needs, and help improve safety practices
  • Assist with incident classification, reporting, investigation, and close-out
  • Ensure safety management plans, HIDRAs, and inductions are current and followed
  • Develop and deliver SSQ inductions, workshops, and training sessions to meet project needs

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Certificate IV OHS/ WHS or equivalent
  • Construction induction card
  • ICAM investigations qualification
  • Proven ability to apply safety legislative due diligence and risk management principles in high risk environments
  • Construction industry experience desirable but not essential
  • The ability work from our North Head site office (Northern Beaches) most of the time, and from our Girraween head office (Western Sydney) on occasion. A fully maintained vehicle will be provided.
