Overview of our role

14 month fixed-term opportunity with a possibility to become a permanent.

As a seasoned Human Resource Business Partner, you will be empowered to provide close support, guidance and partnership to the Jemena Electricity Services Agreement (JESA) management group. Your guidance and advice is essential and building a collaborative environment is paramount in this role. Furthermore, your focus to deliver optimal HR solutions that appropriately underpin the delivery of the People Strategy and HR Plan along with the key objectives of the Functional Group.

You will also be accountable for supporting the Functional Group in coordinating, organising and implementing a variety of HR related projects, programs and initiatives. This includes the provision of professional advice, coaching, support, guidance and service to management and staff on all HR policies, processes and issues in a timely and professional manner.

An in-depth experience in Change Management is essentially, along with an understanding of ER / IR laws, to be successful in this role.

A little about you

  • Lead Change Management programs in line with the Organisational Vision, Values and Business Strategy
  • Partner with key stakeholders to implement people plans and manage ER/IR matters in partnership with stakeholders in a timely fashion
  • Co-ordinate, organise and implement HR projects as required, and co-ordinate reporting to the business and administrate policies and procedures as required
  • Assist in scoping out projects, processes and procedures, responsibilities and timeframes to achieve objectives and provide support in the creation/execution of communication material of project details to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner
  • Actively participate in the broader HR Business Partnering Team & HR Team meetings and other forums, and work cohesively and in collaboration with the other members of the HR Team to ensure that there is a consistent way in which HR support and service is delivered to the business.

Qualifications / certifications & Skills

  • Relevant Tertiary qualification in HR or a related field of study
  • Generalist HR expertise and working knowledge of broad HR functions in particular significant experience in Employment Legislation, Employee and Industrial Relations, Award Interpretation, change management, talent management, Remuneration and Benefits, Recruitment and Selection, Policy Development, EEO, Health & Safety.
  • Demonstrated experience in assisting with creating and delivering a divisional/business unit People strategy & vision.
  • Prior experience in a HR Business Partnering model and demonstrated experience working collaboratively to achieve common goals.
  • Experience and methods in leadership, coaching and empowerment of teams and managers

*When travelling to site you will be based across Tullamarine and Broadmeadows, with one day a week at our head office in the CBD.
