The Opportunity:

Are you prepared to take your profession to the next level? We are searching for a skilled and knowledgeable Estimator/Planner to become a part of our vibrant team in Mackay. Being an important member of our team, you will be involved in the planning, tendering, and estimating for some of the most cutting-edge mining machinery available. This job opportunity, which offers a great income package and a Monday through Friday roster, is ideal for individuals seeking to maintain a work-life balance.

Roster: Monday to Friday

Role Located: Mackay

What we are looking for:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, Trade/Parts or 5+ years’ relevant experience
  • Experience in planning/project scheduling and parts interpretation
  • The ability to interpret mechanical and engineering general arrangement drawings
  • A strong understanding of quality procedures, engineering standards and practices
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, Project, and Dynamics
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • A talent for developing tenders and quotations, reviewing tender packages and preparing estimates and tender schedules

Key Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

Estimations

  • Provide accurate estimations/quotes and up to date planning schedules
  • Provide end to end support for the repairable business (quoting, customer interaction, invoicing)
  • Ensure all estimates and fixed price service agreements are completed and submitted in line with customer support charter
  • Following up with customers on estimates supplied for service work following and promoting the Komatsu Customer Support Charter, supporting and promoting the Komatsu business positively to both our current and future customers
  • Monitor and update planning schedules / Gantts as required
  • Monitor and coordinate parts for planned works
  • Monitor and amend estimates as work scopes change
  • Apply a disciplined approach to expense control by looking for areas we can reduce unnecessary spend

Repairables Planner

  • General Admin - Opening all cases, Creating Case folders, PO creation, Compiling cases, etc
  • Reviewing and updating repairable databases
  • Customer Communications - Shutdown coordination and variation daily updates
  • Parts Receipt and movements coordination
  • Monthly forecasting
  • Assist with duties that are assigned by your manager/supervisor
