About the role

The Executive Support Officer will deliver comprehensive project support, executive assistance, and administrative services to the Director of Strategic Communications and the strategic communications team. In addition to managing traditional executive functions, the role works closely with the media, design and corporate communications teams to deliver on strategic communications priorities. The position requires the ability to operate independently within a complex, fast-paced environment while fostering strong, positive, and professional relationships with the Director, support staff, and key stakeholders. Proactive problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous skill development are essential for success in this dynamic role.

On a day-to-day basis, you will

  • Provide high level, confidential administrative support to the Director and Senior Leadership team
  • Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships including with the CEO office, Executive Leadership team across LXRP and VIDA.
  • Identify areas for process improvement to support the Director and Strategic Communications team.
  • Assist in planning, coordinating and executing team and corporate events including handling logistics and overseeing event planning
  • Manage complex reporting requirements for the Strategic Communications team.

The role reports to Jane Wharton (Director, Strategic Communications) who has been at LXRP for 5 years and has 20 years’ experience as a communications professional. Jane’s leadership style is best described as supportive, motivating and encouraging. She allows her team to work autonomously whilst providing support where needed and encourages team members to develop and thrive in their professional careers.

At LXRP we embrace and encourage flexibility, we work in a hybrid capacity, so you will work a mix of office (Melbourne CBD) and home. You'll be required to work between 2 and 4 days in the office each week.

The role is a 3-year fixed term position, paying a salary of $95,102 – $107,905 plus superannuation.

About you

You don’t shy away from a challenge, have impeccable time management skills and you’re agile and adaptable to an ever-changing landscape of works. You’ll need to be resilient and flexible in your approach whilst providing administrative support to the Director of Strategic Communications.
