About the role

The South West Region manages the day-to-day operations and ongoing development of Main Roads network and assets within the region, to provide safe and efficient road access for the community.

Based in Bunbury as the successful candidate you will manage the development and implementation of plans, programs and systems for the efficient and effective management, preservation and improvement of the South West regional road assets. You will provide expertise in technical advice on all aspects of asset management planning practice, processes and systems.

As the Asset Manager - Planning, you will be responsible for overseeing the strategic planning and management of the South West Regional Road Assets. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing, implementing and maintaining comprehensive asset management plans such as the Regional Road and Network Plan and, Asset Link Plans.
  • Conducting assessments and evaluations of current assets to optimise road network performance and longevity.
  • Managing strategic planning and road access solutions arising from network expansion or changes, including access due to land development
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders including the community, other agencies and Local Governments on key road asset management plans, programs and interventions.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards in asset management practices.
