The Opportunity:
We're seeking a driven Maintenance / Planning / Quality and Compliance Officer to join our team. In this pivotal role, you'll play a vital part in upholding our high standards of quality and ensuring our operations remain compliant with regulatory requirements. You will be responsible for planning all scheduled maintenance and repairs in line with current works, and maximising operating profit through using planned maintenance.
This position is based at Weipa in North Queensland . This is a permanent full-time position based on a 8D 6RR 7N 7RR roster with rotating day and night shifts, offering Fly In, Fly Out from Brisbane, QLD.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implementing and monitoring quality management systems to meet industry standards.
- Establish and support crew leader in managing Speed alerts / G Force / Compressor oversight Data Entered.
- Conducting regular audits, producing detailed reports of findings, and formulating robust action plans.
- Training staff on quality measures, compliance regulations and best practices.
- Responding to non-compliance issues in a timely, efficient manner.
- Establish Load Rite Data.
- Ongoing management Wabtec control.
- Ongoing management Stock and Inventory control for site.
- Providing communication channels, interface and coordination between projects team and operations.
- Identify changes in scope of work, ensure planning measures are taken with internal and external processes/clients to reassess renegotiate and amend scope of work responsibilities.
- Provide Support to Maintenance department to ensure procurement is streamlined and minimise delays.
- Contribute to PSI’s, field leadership interactions.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience in Maintenance, Planning and Quality and Compliance Officer or similar role.
- Well-versed in legal guidelines and corporate governance best practices.
- Proven ability to manage multiple compliance initiatives simultaneously.
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and rapport-building skills.
- Professional certification in Quality and Compliance field is a plus.
