- Salary ranges from $82,635 to $113,561 per annum, plus 11.5% superannuation (commensurate with qualification and experience)
The Opportunity
This role provides professional, effective and efficient administrative support to the functions of the Legal & Governance Department, whilst maintaining Freedom of Information (FOI) legislated responses and requirements.
Responsibilities
- To manage the FOI requests in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act 1982
- To manage the Personal Interest Returns, register for Councillors and staff
- To assist with privacy matters in accordance with the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 when required
- To assist with authorisation / delegation documentation when required
- To assist in supporting the Fraud & Corruption Control Group when required
Skills & Experience
- A working understanding of legislation relevant to the work of the Legal and Governance Unit including the Local Government Act 2020, the Freedom of Information Act 1982 and the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 (appropriate training will be provided)
- Bachelor's Degree and some experience in a lesser qualification with significant relevant experience.
- Excellent proficiency in administrative and research skills.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise daily operations to coordinate specific allocated tasks in a dynamic work environment.
- Excellent written skills (including editing) and provision of high-quality correspondence and documents.
