Job Expectations

Build your career and Australia’s future.

Not many people can say they are working on building Australia’s future. With us you’ll be doing just that, leaving a legacy for all Australians. Plus, there’s equal employment, great training, and true flexible working arrangements.

A bit about your role

As a Senior Solution Architect, you will be at the forefront of shaping the system technology architecture and strategy for SEO. Embedded within the Field Workforce and Build Architecture team, your role will be crucial in developing reference architectures for field workforce management and delivering end-to-end solution architectures for specific value stream initiatives. Your expertise will ensure that architecture documentation is effectively utilized by value stream architects and delivery teams, with feedback seamlessly integrated into the documentation process.

In this role, you will provide solution consulting and contribute to the Architecture Forum, focusing on API development, integration patterns, and messaging. You will investigate and analyse business challenges, identifying solutions to address major pain points. Additionally, you will generate and maintain reference architectures for Channels & Integration Enablement functions. Your thought leadership will guide and coach solution architects and other SEO roles, fostering improved team outcomes. This position requires collaboration with senior business and IT stakeholders, nbn personnel, industry and market stakeholders, and open-source communities to drive consensus, advocate IT strategies, and identify emerging trends and opportunities.

A bit about you

You should have tertiary qualifications in IT, particularly in Fixed Wireless/Mobile Technology, Engineering, Applied Science, or Computing, and several years of experience in architecture, design, and operations for complex network systems. Your experience should include large-scale deployments, migration projects, and working with clients to gather business and technical requirements.

A strong background in software architecture, field service management, and network construction is essential. Knowledge of telecom network topology, OSS/BSS architecture, cloud-native technologies (e.g., AWS), field service management systems, and business process automation products (like Appian, MS Power Apps) is highly beneficial. Excellent relationship-building, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills are crucial, along with a focus on delivery and outcomes.
