An exciting opportunity is now available for a Cyber Security Performance & Operations Analyst, reporting to the Executive Manager – Cyber Security Performance & Operations, where you will join the Cyber Security Practice (CSP) team.
A bit about your role
As a Cyber Security Performance & Operations Analyst, you’ll play a key role in driving the operational excellence of nbn’s Cyber Security Practice. You’ll help turn strategy into measurable outcomes by building performance analytics, maintaining governance frameworks, and supporting risk and compliance operations. You’ll be responsible for developing dashboards and reporting packs that provide actionable insights, coordinating operational cadences, and ensuring alignment with frameworks such as NIST CSF 2.0, the ACSC Essential Eight, and the SOCI Act.
You’ll also support the operational teams with process uplift, maturing response playbooks, detailing user requirements for tooling uplift and automation initiatives, to uplift CSP’s capabilities and reduce manual effort.
This role is pivotal in enabling CSP to make risk-informed decisions, demonstrate control effectiveness, and deliver on national resilience objectives.
A bit about you
To be successful in this role, you will bring at least five years of experience in cybersecurity, governance, or performance analytics. You should have a strong understanding of cyber security standards, risk management, and compliance frameworks. Your ability to create executive-ready reports and translate complex data into strategic insights will be essential. Proficiency with tools such as Power BI, Excel, SIEM/SOAR, and GRC platforms is expected. Strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders are key. Ideally, you hold a degree in Engineering, Science, Cyber Security, or Business. Additionally, you must be eligible to obtain and maintain a national security clearance.
