The opportunity:
In this high-impact leadership role, as the Head of Product Design you will establish and lead Netwealth’s Product Design function, building a high-performing design team, shaping our design strategy and driving the creative direction for our software products.
You will build, then lead and scale a talented team of Product Designers to deliver exceptional digital experiences and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver customer-centric digital solutions, ensuring our software is intuitive, seamless and allows our users to easily achieve their goals.
About you
You are a strong, collaborative leader that brings extensive experience across key facets of software design, team building and leadership. You have a proven track record in senior product design roles, ideally with experience leading teams in product-led organisations and excel in creating and implementing product design strategies that promote business growth and innovation.
You bring the following skills and experience.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, HCI, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of experience in product design, UX, and leadership, with a proven track record of building and leading design teams.
- Deep understanding of user-centered design processes, interaction design, visual design, and UX research.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating successful delivery of complex software products.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions to various stakeholders.
- Experience working closely with engineering and product teams in an agile environment.
- Strong leadership, mentorship, and team-building abilities.
