The opportunity
As a Lead Software Engineer at Netwealth, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our investment and superannuation platform applications, ensuring teams deliver systems that are high-quality, scalable and robust. This individual will play a crucial role in driving the technical vision and implementation of our product-led growth strategy.
You will:
- Collaborate with Heads of Software Engineering, and Architects to design, develop, deploy, and maintain cutting-edge software solutions.
- Lead a team of talented Software Engineers, providing mentorship, technical guidance, and ensuring best practices.
- Hands-on involvement in delivering projects, enhancements, and technical support using modern .NET and cloud technologies across client-side and server-side components.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of processes and procedures and help shape the strategic direction of our platform applications.
- Work closely with the Enterprise Architect and Heads of Software Engineering to align technical designs and ensure stakeholder alignment throughout the development cycle.
About you
The Lead Software Engineer will serve as a Scrum Master, collaborating with the Product Manager to define, prioritise and deliver high quality software. This role requires you to both work hands-on with tools and lead a team of developers. You are a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in microservice web application development and DevOps practices. Your strengths include leading and managing developers, alongside strong coaching and mentoring capabilities. You can showcase your skills in designing and implementing scalable, resilient cloud solutions for high-traffic, mission-critical systems, ideally with a background in Cloud Architecture, particularly Azure.
You have exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex technical challenges. You build strong relationships in your team and across departments, facilitating seamless collaboration and knowledge sharing. You understand team dynamics and can adapt your style to suit different audiences. This approach enhances your teamwork and contributes to a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
