About us

At CitiPower and Powercor and United Energy, we’re proud to deliver electricity to 2 million Victorian customers every day through our network of poles and wires. But more than that, we’re here to power communities, support local businesses and keep critical services running smoothly, we’re essential to them all – and none of this happens without our people. As Victorians electrify everything from homes to transport, we’re focused on ensuring our networks are ready to meet that demand. If you want to be part of something essential, be essential with us.

About the role – what’s our Graduate Program about?

We are looking for curious minds across the fields of Electrical and Mechatronics Engineering to join us in February 2027 and ultimately help us shape the electricity network of the future.

Our award-winning graduate program enables our graduates to experience the varied engineering opportunities that exist across our business. You will be connected to industry leaders, contribute to innovative projects, and help transform our industry.

Over the three-year program you will undertake five specialised rotations, and have opportunities to attend graduate development events, developing wider business and industry knowledge as part of a truly immersive experience. Graduate rotations are available across key areas of our business, including Network Planning, Asset Management, Design, Operations, Commissioning and Project Management.

You will shape your own journey and be fully supported along the way by a mentor, a holistic graduate program, your managers and team leaders, and other graduates in our businesses.

We will work with you throughout the program to help you identify your preferred engineering career pathway. At the end of the program, you will join a team in a role that best matches your skills and career interests with business requirements and opportunities.

The Graduate Program really is just the start of your career with us!

Why us?

    • Real impact: Engage in essential work that makes a real difference, and help solve energy challenges of tomorrow, today
    • Ownership of your journey: Take part in rotations that interest you and own your graduate program experience

    • Perks and benefits: Enjoy great pay, valuable benefits such as purchased leave, 15 weeks of gender neutral paid parental leave, individualised career development and dedicated support for your health and wellbeing
    • Development and mentoring: Develop and grow by working alongside, and learning from, the best in the business, and reach your potential as a creative innovator and a future thought leader
