As a Senior Project Manager, you will independently manage and ensure successful implementation of the project, focussing on all aspects of project management; including scope, budget, schedule, quality, procurement, resources, communications and risks.
Here’s how:
- You will develop a comprehensive project management plan to ensure project objectives are achieved which involves all aspects of the project, including scope, budget and schedule.
- You will provide assistance to the Team Leader Projects to regularly coach and mentor team members.
- You will take leadership of assigned project team including task assignment, performance monitoring and coaching, and teamwork
- Coordinate the safe delivery of assigned projects to approved budget, time and infrastructure specifications
- Manage the development of contract specifications, conduct tender evaluations and multiple large scale projects with varying complexity and scope.

Based in Brisbane, you’ll join our Major Customers and Energy Transformation Delivery team that delivers critical infrastructure for renewables and storage, connecting Queenslanders to a world-class energy future.
Our transmission network extends 1,700km from north of Cairns to the New South Wales border, and comprises 15,345 circuit kilometres of transmission lines and 147 substations.
Your expertise
- Degree level qualifications in Engineering, Project Management, or related discipline with significant relevant program and/or project management experience in the development of high voltage transmission infrastructure, OR
- Relevant qualification coupled with extensive industry experience in the development of infrastructure
We’d also love you to have:
- Proven experience in the coaching and mentoring of personnel in the delivery of infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of high voltage power systems particularly transmission lines and/or substations, secondary systems (control, metering and protection) and/or telecommunications
- Demonstrated significant experience and capability in project and construction management, in the electrical industry.
- Demonstrated experience in leading the delivery of multiple complex projects through application of project management techniques.
