The opportunity:

The Project Delivery Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting project and construction delivery requirements across multiple projects. This involves assisting with the management and coordination of these projects in line with Powerlink's policies and procedures. The coordinator ensures that project execution is effectively planned, coordinated, executed, and managed to maximize safe, efficient, and quality delivery.

A key responsibility is to develop comprehensive Project Management Plans that cover all aspects of project management, including scope, time, and cost management. The coordinator also assists in developing project proposal documentation and estimates as required by the Project Sponsor. Additionally, they help develop contract specifications, conduct tender evaluations, and administer contracts with external design, construction, and testing contractors.

The coordinator supports the project delivery team by developing delivery strategies, identifying key delivery risks, and implementing mitigation strategies during both the planning and execution phases.

In terms of construction, the coordinator develops a construction delivery strategy, identifies key construction risks, and implements mitigation strategies during the construction planning and execution phases. They periodically attend sites to assist with the delivery of construction and commissioning works.

The people you'll join:

Based in Brisbane, you will join our Major Customers Group within the Delivery & Technical Solutions Division, reporting directly to the Team Leader Major Customers.

What you'll bring:

  • Degree level qualifications in Engineering / Construction Management / Project Management, (or)
  • Diploma level qualifications coupled with relevant experience in project /construction support environment
  • Ability to support projects and operational objectives, managing and mitigating risks, monitoring progress, and effectively engaging resources to achieve required outcomes within agreed budget and timeframes.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Confident in your abilities to multi-task, plan and organise
  • Thrive in a task-driven, fast-paced environment
  • Logical, detailed and analytical in your working approach
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Driven by consistent delivering projects safely, on time and on budget

Ideally, you will also bring demonstrated industry experience in supporting projects in the High Voltage industry.
