The Role

An opportunity currently exists for an Assistant Project Manager to be part on an established Project Management team delivering projects within the Government Sector. The environment will suit a results driven 'all-rounder' who has a practical outcome driven approach.

Reporting to the Project Manager, this role is responsible for assisting with the planning and successful delivery of projects to agreed scope, timeframe, budget and quality. Working collaboratively with the existing project team you will responsible for delivering project management services across eight government agencies. The role will require you to implement, monitor, and maintain project management systems and process, whilst ensuring compliance with all relevant safety, environmental and quality requirements. Developing and maintaining strong relationships within colleagues in Facilities Management, Asset Management and Procurement, as well as the supply chain is vital to the success of this role.

Skills and Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Construction Management, or similar would be highly regarded
  • A proven track record in successfully delivering Government projects on the client side
  • Experience in Project Managing and Administrating Fit Out, Refurbishments & New build works under AS2124 or similar.
  • A demonstrated understanding of Australian OH&S and Environmental legislation
  • First rate communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain relationships with all internal and external project stakeholders
  • Member of, or working towards, a Professional Membership will be highly required.
